NEW YORK, the US - President Janez Drnovsek and FM Dimitrij Rupel are to take part in the UN summit which begins on Wednesday. Drnovsek is to address the 60th session of the General Assembly on Thursday.
TALLINN, Estonia - PM Janez Jansa is to visit Estonia as the last stop on his three-day tour of the Baltic states. Accompanying him are Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak and a strong business delegation. The Slovenian and Estonian PMs are to speak to the press at 10:10 AM. (STA)
BERLIN, Germany - Defence ministers of NATO member states are to finish a two-day informal session, which is being attended also by Slovenian Defence Minister Karl Erjavec.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary commission for the budget and public finance oversight is to discuss the potentially harmful sell-off of grocer Mercator by the state-run funds KAD and SOD; at noon. (STA)
CHENGDU, China - Mayor of Ljubljana Danica Simsic is continuing her tour of China with a stop in Chengdu to meet her counterpart Li Chuncheng. A strong business delegation accompanying her will attend a business conference.
LJUBLJANA - The national telco Telekom Slovenije and its partners are to speak to the press at 11 AM about the expansion of its broadband services.
MARIBOR - The Raiffeisen Krekova banka bank is to speak to the press at 11 AM about its cooperation with the Uniqua insurance company.
LJUBLJANA - A debate about a bill on profit sharing and worker shareholding is to take place at noon, organised by the National Council and the interest group of workers. (STA)
ZIROVNICA - A ceremony is to mark the 90th anniversary of the hydro-power station Zavrsnica, to be attended by Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik; at 2:15 PM.
CELJE - The 38th International Trade Fair, featuring nearly 1,480 exhibitors on an area of 60,000 sq. metres, is to close with a press conference at 9:30 AM.
LJUBLJANA - A new tabloid, Direkt, is to be launched at a press conference scheduled for 7 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The Institute of Cultural Heritage is to present Slovenia's contribution to Days of European Cultural Heritage 2005 at a news conference scheduled for 10:30 AM.
MILAN, Italy - The Austrian Cultural Forum in Milan is to host an exhibition of Slovenian, Italian and Austrian painters entitled "Impressions... Painters for Srecko Kosovel", dedicated to the Slovenian poet Kosovel (1904-1926).
