KBC Unable to Enter Croatian Market Because of LB Debt
Brussels/Split, 20 September - The Belgian banking and insurance group KBC has been told by Croatian authorities that it cannot enter the Croatian market because of its stake in Slovenia's largest bank, NLB. According to reports, the multi-million debt of the defunct LB bank, which Croatia considers the legal predecessor to the NLB, to Croatian savers is the sticking point.
