Ljubljana, 23 September - Below is a schedule of events for Saturday, 24 September:

LJUBLJANA - Election blackout settles in a day prior to a referendum on the government-sponsored act on the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija. The act was passed in parliament in July.

WASHINGTON, the US - A two-day annual meeting of the WB and IMF is to begin, to be attended also by Slovenia's Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk and the central bank governor Mitja Gaspari.

CELJE - Ethnic minorities in Slovenia and the Slovenian minority in Austria and Italy are to be discussed at an international symposium on the integration of minorities in the EU, which began on Friday; at 9 AM.

PORTOROZ - A ceremony is to mark 100 years of the Slovenian Tourist Association, to be attended by Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak and Secretary General of the World Tourism Organisation Francesco Frangialli; a news conference at 9:30 AM (STA)

PIRAN - Slovenia is to join this year's European Heritage Days (EHD) with a series of events to span over eight days, focusing on intangible heritage. The EHD were launched on 2 September in the Czech Republic.

BREZJE - The Slovenian and Croatian bishops' conferences are to stage a 2nd gathering of the faithful from Croatia and Slovenia, expected to be attended by 6,000 to 8,000 believers from both countries; begins at 11 AM.

PORTOROZ - The doubles final and the singles semi-finals are to be played at the Slovenian Open, the first ever WTA tournament in the country. (STA)
