Lord Carrington: All republics will be legal successors
Ljubljana, 25 March - Chairman of the Peace Conference on Yugoslavia Lord Carrington told news reporters that all the Yugoslav republics are legal successors of former Yugoslavia, and not only those which might chose to retain the name. He further said that the Peace Conference will undoubtedly follow the Badinter Arbitration Committee report, which defined the cause of the Yugoslav crisis as the result of the dissolution of the state and not the secession of particular republics.
