BLED - The Fourth Business Round-table with the government of Slovenia is to get underway under the heading "Improving Slovene Competitiveness in the New Europe." PM Janez Jansa is expected to participate in the event, which is organised by The Economist, alongside Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk, Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak and Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant; starts at 9 AM (Round-table with Jansa at 11 AM is the only panel open to the public). CHISINAU/TIRASPOL, Moldova - FM Dimitrij Rupel, the OSCE chairman, is scheduled to meet Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin, FM Andrei Stratan and representatives of NGOs on the second stop of his three-country tour. He is also expected to hold talks with officials of the breakaway Transdniester republic. (STA)
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - EU foreign ministers will try to reach an agreement on negotiations regarding world trade liberalisation, discuss the bird flu crisis and hold talks on aid to earthquake-stricken Pakistan.

LJUBLJANA - The Peace Institute, an NGO, is to host a round-table on the influence of politics on the status of the Roma in Slovenia to mark the publication of the fourth report of the intolerance-monitoring group; at 10:30 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Joze P. Damijan, the government's chief reformist, is to present the proposals for comprehensive social and economic reforms at a conference on competitiveness organised by the Employers' Association; at 3 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The presentation of an analysis of e-tolling, a project designed by the faculties of electrical engineering from Maribor and Ljubljana, Omega Consult, the IRC Celje Development Centre and mobile operator Mobitel; at 11 AM.
ZAGORJE OB SAVI - The Regional Development Centre in association with European Association of Mutual Guarantee Societies and the Economics Ministry is to launch a three-day international conference on efficient ways of funding enterprises; at 9:45 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The Student Organisation of Slovenia (SOS) is to present its vision on the development of higher education, an alternative to the proposal put forward by the government reform committee. Press conference at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Delegations from civil protection and disaster relief authorities from Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia are to start a three-day meeting.
LJUBLJANA - The 11th Festival of Science, organised by the Slovenian Science Foundation, is set to kick off at 10 AM. The first day will be dedicated to linguist Ziga Popovic.
