Ljubljana, 18 October - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 19 October:
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Slovenian PM Janez Jansa is to pay the first official visit to Luxembourg, where he is scheduled to meet his counterpart Jean-Claude Juncker. Jansa is accompanied by Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk and a delegation of businessmen, who will attend a business conference. (STA)
KIEV, Ukraine - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, the OSCE chairman, is to conclude his three-country tour in the Ukraine. He is expected to hold talks with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek it to hold a press conference at 3:30 PM to comment on topical issues such as WTO trade liberalisation talks, the EU's agriculture policy and EU enlargement. (STA)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Marcel Koprol, the head of the Government Office for EU Affairs (SVEZ) is to meet Pierre de Boissieu, deputy secretary general of the EU Council (11 AM) and Belgian Secretary of State for European Affairs Didier Donfut (3 PM).
CELJE - The Ministry of Agriculture is to host a meeting with poultry farmers at 5 PM to present the current situation regarding bird flu and measures taken to prevent an outbreak of bird flu pandemic. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The start of "e-Challenges e-2005", an EU-sponsored international conference on the challenges of information and communication technologies; opens at 9 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, is to look into proposals for changes to articles 121, 140 and 143 of the Constitution. The session starts at noon.
LJUBLJANA - Janez Sustersic, the deputy chair of the government reform committee, is to present the reform proposal to the KNSS trade union confederation; at 10 AM.
PORTOROZ - A two-day conference entitled "Port Management and Logistics" is to kick off at 9 AM. Over 160 participants from 20 countries will be discussing logistics in the light of increasing globalisation.
LJUBLJANA - A conference on accelerating economic growth is to start at 8:30 AM. The event is organised by Gazela R.E., the company which confers the Gazelle Award for fastest-growing companies.
LJUBLJANA - The Trade Union of Slovenian Railways and the company's works council are to talk to the press at 10 AM to reveal their positions on the decision by the Railway Transport Trade Union to stage a token strike on 9 November.
LJUBLJANA - A Slovenian-Sri Lankan business conference is to take place at 2:30 PM as part of a visit by a Sri Lankan business delegation.
