Coalition Beats Opposition to Requesting Probe into Mercator Sale

Ljubljana, 18 October - The coalition parties have beaten the opposition to filing a request for the formation of a parliamentary inquiry commission investigating the sale of Mercator shares by two state run funds, a demand voiced by the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) on Tuesday. LDS lawmaker Milan M. Cvikl has labelled the move a "red herring."
