Schedule of Events for Saturday, 22 October

LASKO - A press statement by the leader of the coalition New Slovenia (NSi) Andrej Bajuk is scheduled for noon, as part of a meeting of NSi local committees, which are preparing for next year's local elections.

NOVA GORICA - A ceremony held as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations at Nova Gorica Polytechnic, with PM Janez Jansa as speaker of honour, is to start at 7 PM.

ZALOGE - A commemoration marking 14 years since the last soldier of the former Yugoslav Army left Slovenia will be held at the Krakovski gozd forest. A special monument is to be inaugurated at 11 AM with PM Janez Jansa as honorary speaker.

KOBARID - The Kobarid Museum is to mark its 15th anniversary. The museum was established to present the rich history of Kobarid and the Isonzo Front, a major WWI battlefield.

REYKJAVIK, Iceland - Slovenia's Velenje are to take on Haukar Hafnarfjoerdur of Iceland in the 4th round of the Handball Champions League, Group C; at 4 PM. (STA)
