Execution of Election

The run-off of the presidential election will be held on Sunday, 12 November, when polling stations are open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Between 7 and 9 November, voters can cast their ballots early at special polling stations at administrative units around the country.

Voters have until 8 November to notify district electoral commissions whether they want to cast absentee ballots or vote at polling stations with disabled access.

Given that the election went into the second round, the National Electoral Commission estimated it will cost 5.1 million euro. But the direct execution of the election is not the only cost to the budget.

Campaigns are entitled to get campaign costs partly refunded (0.12 euro per every vote), provided the candidate has received at least 10% of the vote, but the refund must not exceed the total campaign cost. In the event of a run-off, the refund for the two candidates is calculated based on the final result.
