Govt to delay 2019 supplementary budget adoption until next year

The government will not be adopting a supplementary budget for next year for now, Prime Minister Marjan Šarec told the press after a coalition summit on Monday. Instead, the needed changes will be made next year. This means Slovenia will send to Brussels for review the document passed by parliament nearly a year ago.

Prices at the pump up markedly

Administrative prices of fuels will rise to more than three-year highs at midnight. Regular sold outside motorways will go up by three cents to EUR 1.373, and diesel will be 4.3 cents costlier at EUR 1.354.

The presidents of coalition parties and their deputy groups in parliament will meet with Prime Minister Marjan Šarec on Monday, with the main topic being the 2019 supplementary budget. As Slovenia needs to send it for review by the European Commission by 15 October, the government is expected to confirm it on Thursday.
