General Terms and Conditions for token news item purchase

  1. Purchasing of STA news with tokens

    Non-subscribers can purchase individual news items with tokens after completing free registration. The news items purchased this way are intended for personal use only. Republication, online publication or any other form of distribution is prohibited.

    Tokens can be purchased via the VALÚ Moneta mobile payment system, with credit card or wire transfer (following quote/pro forma invoice).

    The price is 2.10 euro per token, including VAT. Individual users can get discounts for bulk purchases.

    A single token can be bought only via VALÚ Moneta, multiple tokens may be bought through VALÚ Moneta, with a credit card or wire transfer. In the case of a wire transfer, the customer may order at least five (5) tokens. To order tokens via wire transfer, contact us at marketing sta si or by phone at + 386 (0)1 24 10 127 or 126.

    The balance of purchased and used tokens is visible in "My Account".

    Price in tokens as per type of content:

    1. Slovenian Service
      Single news item: 1 token
      Roundup: 6 tokens
      Schedule of events: 10 tokens
      Daily bulletin: 10 tokens
    2. English Service
      Single news item: 2 tokens
      Schedule of events or roundup: 10 tokens

    Bulk discount:

    • 200 - 500 tokens: 5% discount
    • >= 501 tokens: 10% discount
  2. Complaints

    The user may send their complaint in writing to marketing sta si. The STA will provide the user with a written response within seven (7) working days.

    The user cannot request a refund for purchased or redeemed tokens. The user also cannot request the return of the tokens they have used to purchase selected news items. Also, tokens are not transferable between individual users and/or user profiles.

    The STA is responsible for material defects in the goods that appear within two years of receiving of the goods, according to the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act. The consumer may exercise their rights arising from a material defect if they notify the seller of the defect within two months of the day on which the defect is discovered.

  3. Conclusion of contract

    The purchase contract is closed when the user pays the invoice. All invoices are kept in the STA archive in line with accounting standards. The user can ask for a copy of the invoice in a written request sent to tajnistvo sta si.

  4. Contract withdrawal

    The user agrees to the General Terms and Conditions at the time of purchase. By consenting to the General Terms and Conditions, the user waives the right to withdraw from the contract.

  5. Purchase process

    • The user registers on the website english.sta.si.
    • Upon registration an activation link is sent to the user’s email address. Activation is required to complete the registration successfully.
    • Before purchase the user logs in with their user name and password at english.sta.si.
    • The purchase of tokens is carried out by clicking on the “My Account” link in the user profile.
    • The user selects the desired number of tokens.
    • The user selects the desired payment method.
    • In order to make a purchase, the user must agree to the General Terms and Conditions for token news item purchase, by clicking on a check symbol.
    • By clicking the BUY button, the user is redirected to the website of the selected payment method provider.
    • After the payment is completed, the user receives purchase confirmation and General Terms and Conditions via email.
    • The user can see the tokens they have purchased in their user profile under "My Account". Tokens may be used indefinitely.
    • After purchasing a news item with tokens, the entire text of the selected news item will be displayed in the browser. The purchase is permanent - the entire news item will be available to the user at any later time.
  6. Suspension of purchase

    The user can interrupt the purchase in any phase of the procedure before making the actual payment, by closing the browser. The subscriber can also start a purchase procedure anew at any time. In case of difficulties in making the purchase the subscriber can contact us by email at marketing sta si or on work days between 8am and 3pm by telephone number +386 (0)1 24 10 127.

  7. Conflict solving

    The parties will strive to resolve any disputes amicably. If an agreement is not possible, the court with substantive and territorial jurisdiction shall have jurisdiction to resolve disputes. Slovenian law applies. The publisher/seller does not recognize any provider of out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes (Article 32 (3) of the Slovenian Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act).
