Fraction of Triglav glacier to travel to Beijing Olympics

The Slovenian Olympic Committee (OKS) has given up on the idea to have a Slovenian House set up in Beijing as part of promotional activities during the 2022 Winter Olympics due to the coronavirus. It has instead decided to take some ice from the Triglav glacier to China as part of an environmental project focussing on global warming.

Kek remains at helm of national football team

The Slovenian Football Association (NZS) has extended the contract with its current head coach, Matjaž Kek. He will lead the Slovenian national men's football team in the next UEFA Nations League cycle and in the qualifiers for the European Championship in 2024, the NZS said.

Men's basketball team open World Cup with two wins
