Slovenia's Meta Hrovat third in World Cup giant slalom race

Slovenian Meta Hrovat bagged third place in the second Women's World Cup giant slalom race of the 57th Golden Fox meet in Kranjska Gora on Sunday. Following yesterday's win, Italy's Marta Bassino posted the fastest time again, claiming a double giant slalom victory.

Italy's Marta Bassino is the winner of the first Women's World Cup giant slalom race of the 57th Golden Fox in Kranjska Gora. France's Tessa Worley was second, and Michelle Gisin from Switzerland third. The best ranking Slovenians were Meta Hrovat in ninth and Neja Dvornik in 23rd place.

Kranjska Gora ski resort hosting 57th Golden Fox meet

The Slovenian ski resort of Kranjska Gora will host over the weekend two Alpine Ski World Cup giant slalom events for women in what will be the 57th Golden Fox meet. The event usually takes place in Maribor but has been moved the second year running due to a lack of snow amid mild and wet weather.
