Biathlon: Mäkäräinen top in women's pursuit

Finnish biathlete Kaisa Mäkäräinen won the women's 10-kilometre pursuit World Cup event at Pokljuka on Sunday ahead of Italian Dorothea Wierer in a repeat of Saturday's sprint standings. Slovakia's Paulina Fialkova came in third.

Biathlon: Boe wins men's pursuit at Pokljuka

Norwegian biathlete Johannes Thinges Boe won the men's 12.5km pursuit race at the Biathlon World Cup meet on the Pokljuka Plateau on Sunday, pipping France's Quentin Fillon Maillet for the victory in a photo finish.

Mäkäräinen wins women's sprint in Pokljuka

Finland's Kaisa Mäkäräinen (20:08,1/0) won the women's 7.5-kilometre sprint event held as part of the Biathlon World Cup season opener in Pokljuka on Saturday. She was followed by Italian Dorothea Wierer (+14,8/0) and France's Justine Braisaz (+42,1/0).

Ukraine's Dzhima wins women's 15km biathlon event at Pokljuka

Ukrainian biathlete Yuliia Dzhima is the winner of Thursday's individual 15km event for women as part of the Biathlon World Cup meet at Slovenia's Pokljuka, followed by Monika Hojnisz of Poland and Marketa Davidova of the Czech Republic.

Biathlete Fak starts season with 4th place at Pokljuka

Slovenia's Jakov Fak started the new Biathlon World Cup season at the home venue of Pokljuka with a 4th place in the men's individual 20-km race on Thursday. Victory went to Martin Fourcade of France.

Pokljuka biathlon race moved to Thursday

The men's 20-kilometre individual event scheduled to be held as part of the Biathlon World Cup season opener on Pokljuka on Wednesday has been cancelled due to fog and will be staged on Thursday at 10:15 AM, to be followed by women's 15 km event at 2:15 PM.
