Police to step up strike unless govt hears their demands

Police officers and Interior Ministry employees will continue the strike that started on Monday until their demands for the elimination of pay imbalances in the public sector are met. A meeting with the government is expected at the end of the week and if no progress is made, the strike activities will be stepped up.

President Pahor visiting Kosovo

President Borut Pahor will be paying an official visit to Kosovo on Monday and Tuesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the country's independence. Talks with top Kosovar officials will focus on Kosovo's EU membership prospects, and topical issues concerning the Western Balkans. The president will also visit Slovenian troops in the country.
