Premogovnik Velenje, the mine operator supplying coal to the nearby TEŠ thermal power plant, has slipped back into the red last year after it managed to stay in the black for three years. It posted a loss of EUR 3.8 million, after generating a net profit of EUR 3.4 million the year before. Net sales revenue was down by 5.2% to EUR 108.6 million.

Sailor Gašper Vinčec and his crew won this year's Barcolana, the biggest mass start sailing regatta in the world, which took place in Trieste on Sunday. The crew also included cycling sensation Primož Roglič, a former ski-jumper, who became the first Slovenian to win a grand tour race, when a month ago he won the La Vuelta.
