Public sector unions launch preparations for 4 Dec strike

The body coordinating the strike committees of public sector trade unions has decided to launch preparations for a 4 December nationwide strike and rally, as the new government has not yet relaunched pay talks after they were suspended when the previous government resigned in March.

Coalition sings cooperation deal with minority MPs

The coalition partners signed on Tuesday a cooperation agreement with the two MPs representing the Hungarian and Italian communities in the country. Felice Žiža, the MP for the Italian minority, indicated the pair may also secure the needed votes for the minority government in "matters of key importance".
