The November Vox Populi poll commissioned by public broadcaster TV Slovenija and the newspapers Dnevnik and Večer shows the senior coalition Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ) extending its lead ahead of the opposition Democrats (SDS) but it also shows more people disappointed than happy with the government for the first time this year.

New Slovenia - Christian Democrats (NSi) leader Matej Tonin argued at the opposition party's congress in Maribor on Sunday that the NSi was a centrist party both in terms of its values and principles of operation. Tonin portrayed the NSi as a strong opponent of both radical left policies and unbridled capitalism.

A busy regular session of the National Assembly will start on Monday that will feature decisions on the budgets for the coming two years, as well as on three significant bills or legislative changes vetoed by the National Council, the upper chamber.
