PM Miro Cerar visited three settlements along the river Mura in the north-east of the country on Saturday to assure the local population the government will do all its power to help those who ended up on the Croatian side following international border arbitration.

Addressing a traditional gathering of locals and politicians at the Najevnik Linden Tree on Saturday, Human Rights Ombudsman Vlasta Nussdorfer pointed to the importance of finding solutions for those negatively affected by the recently determined course of the border with Croatia.

Slovenia is taking over the one-year chairmanship of the Southeast Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP), a regional partnership bringing together more than a dozen countries. Its chairmanship will focus on promoting EU enlargement, security, the youth and digitalization.
