Public Administration Minister Boris Koprivnikar has offered to resign as the chief negotiator for the government in the talks with public sector trade unions, which have staged several strikes recently. He asked Prime Minister Miro Cerar to replace him on Friday, after the unions rejected the government's most recent pay rise proposal.

By not respecting the arbitration ruling on the border with Slovenia, Croatia is sending "an extremely negative signal" to the Western Balkans, Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec told the STA on Friday. He believes Croatia is the main problem when it comes to border issues in the region.
