Cerar cancels meeting with Croatian PM scheduled for next week

Prime Minister Miro Cerar decided to cancel a meeting with his Croatian prime minister scheduled for next week in Zagreb after Andrej Plenković's comments on the Slovenian-Croatia border arbitration in his address to the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday. Cerar said Slovenia nevertheless remained open for dialogue.

Slovenia's economy projected to expand 4.4% this year, 3.9% in 2018

IMAD, the government's macroeconomic forecaster, has strongly upgraded Slovenia's GDP growth forecast. This year, the economy is projected to expand by 4.4%, up 0.8 points from the spring forecast, while the projection for 2018 was revised upwards by 0.7 points to 3.9%, IMAD said on Thursday.

Cerar meets Lajčak, Guterres and Thaci in New York

Before addressing the general debate of the 72nd UN General Assembly today, Prime Minister Miro Cerar held bilateral talks with Miroslav Lajčak, the president of the General Assembly, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and discussed Slovenia's development agenda 2030 at the Bloomberg Global Business Forum.
