Roglič wins silver in individual time trial at cycling worlds

Cyclist Primož Roglič won the silver medal in individual time trial at the World Cycling Championships in Bergen, Norway. The former ski jumper, who switched careers less than 5 years ago, was second only to Dutch Tom Dumoulin, while British Chris Froome was third.

Ljubljana action plan to help mainstream OER

The second UNESCO World Congress on Open Educational Resources (OER) drew to a close in Ljubljana on Wednesday as delegates adopted the Ljubljana OER Action Plan 2017, featuring recommendations for mainstreaming OER in support of the UN sustainable development goals on education. The congress was labelled a "big success and a big step forward".

Slovenia not joining UN Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons

Slovenia does not plan to join the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, which has been opened for signing at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. Prime Minister Miro Cerar said Slovenia supported denuclearisation but the treaty was "too radical and unrealistic".
