The National Assembly on Tuesday endorsed amendments to the health services act which deal with concessions to private practitioners, oversight of healthcare providers and advertising of health services, and introduce a non-compete clause.

President Borut Pahor is convinced the award of the border arbitration tribunal will be implemented but finds it unacceptable to tackle this in bilateral talks. "Even conceding to a willingness to talk about implementation with a new bilateral agreement would mean the legal validity of the award would be significantly weakened," he told the STA.

The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) published on Tuesday a report showing that Slovenia still has work to do to ensure proper living conditions for several Roma communities without access to safe water supply. However, ECRI is happy with the implementation of two other recommendations made in 2014.
