Omar Naber to represent Slovenia at Eurovision song contest

With his ballad On My Way, singer Omar Naber will represent Slovenia at the Eurovision song contest. The first time he represented Slovenia at the Eurosong was in 2005, when the song contest was also hosted by Ukraine.

State sells stake in Paloma for EUR 9.66m

The Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SSH) has accepted the takeover bid for tissue maker Paloma filed by Czech fund Eco Investment and its Slovak subsidiary Eco Invest. The state is to get EUR 9.66m for the 30% stake it was left with after the new owner recapitalised Paloma with EUR 18.2m last year.

Luka Koper reports 37% increase in net profit for 2016

Port operator Luka Koper posted a group net profit of EUR 44.4m for 2016, a new record and an increase of 37% on the year before. Group sales rose 9% to EUR 201m, also a new record, the company said on Friday.
