Serbian bank AIK Banka received a green light to raise its stake in Gorenjska banka beyond 50% on Tuesday, according to the central bank's website. AIK Banka, which currently owns 19.4% of Gorenjska banka, plans to buy a majority stake from a consortium headed by financial holding Sava, the bank's largest single shareholder.
Finance Minister Mateja Vraničar Erman put forward on Thursday Željko Puljić and Franc Žmavc for supervisors of the Slovenian Sovereign Holding (SSH) to fill the vacancies caused by Lidia Glavina's appointment as SSH head and another supervisor dying in December. The parliament is to decide on the appointments in March.
The telecommunications group Telekom Slovenije last year generated EUR 701.7m in net sales revenues, down 4% compared to 2015, while net profit was down 41% to EUR 39.9m.
