A large deserted building in the city of Kranj caught fire on Monday at around 11:30pm, but the fire has already been largely put out. There were no injured but 67 locals were evacuated, with damage caused to several near-by buildings, including a power station, the Kranj Police Department said on Tuesday.

While MPs are debating the revised budget for 2022 on Tuesday, Prime Minister Robert Golob said that the draft document was a stepping stone to ensure that Slovenia survives the current energy crisis as unscathed as possible. To guarantee energy supply, nationalisation of an energy company is possible soon, he added.
