Slovenia to seek a third delegated EU prosecutor

State Prosecutor General Katarina Bergant has announced that Slovenia will seek to get an additional delegated prosecutor at the European Public Prosecutor's Office. At the moment, Slovenia has two delegated prosecutors, the minimum for any participating country.

Annual inflation jumps from 0% to 1.7% in November

Slovenia's annual inflation rate climbed from zero in October to 1.7% in November, while consumer prices increased 0.7% over October on average. Service prices went up by 2.8% and goods prices by 1.1%, the Statistics Office said, highlighting higher food and non-alcoholic beverages prices as the biggest contributor to annual inflation.

Animateka staying true to its roots

Animateka, an international festival of animated film, will see its 21st rendition from 2 to 8 December. It will stay true to its original mission of showcasing primarily animated films from Eastern, Southern and Central Europe, student films, and films for children.

Defence minister visits Latvia, Slovakia

Defence Minister Borut Sajovic will be in Latvia on Monday before travelling for a visit to Slovakia the next day, meeting his counterparts and Slovenian troops deployed in NATO missions in the two countries.
