Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon visited Somalia on Sunday as the first Slovenian representative to have done so. Holding talks with Somalia's Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, she discussed the situation in the country and broader region, and international peacekeeping missions. She finds these missions to be essential in building stability in Somalia.

President Nataša Pirc Musar will be on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday and Monday, as part of which she will meet with her Emirati counterpart Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and visit some Slovenian companies that do business in Abu Dhabi, the president's office has announced.
