Parliament officials urge closer cooperation between Slovenia and Croatia

National Assembly President Urška Klakočar Zupančič met her Croatian counterpart Gordan Jandroković in Zagreb on Wednesday with the pair pledging to step up cooperation between the two parliaments further and expressing their wish for the two governments to intensify their cooperation as well.

Golob rejects police interference accusations, ex minister stands by them

Prime Minister Robert Golob rejected in a hearing before the Corruption Prevention Commission on Wednesday accusations of meddling in the police raised against him by former Interior Minister Tatjana Bobnar. While Golob said witnesses and evidence will corroborate him, Bobnar stood by her claims and appealed to the watchdog's independence.

OECD downgrades economic outlook for Slovenia for 2024 and 2025

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has downgraded its economic outlook for Slovenia compared to its May forecast, from 2.3% to 1.1% for 2024 and from 2.7% to 2.6% for 2025. In 2026, Slovenia's GDP is expected to expand by 2.6%.
