Deal ending strike at administrative units signed

The government and trade unions representing administration unit staff, most of whom have been on strike since mid-March, signed a strike-ending agreement on Friday. Administrative units will go back to normal on Monday, much to the relief of people and companies that have had a hard time accessing vital services.

Slovenia's exports up 2.4% in May, imports up 5.1%

Slovenia's exports in May stood at EUR 5.04 billion, or 2.4% more than in the same month last year, while imports were up by 5.1% to EUR 5.57 billion. A trade deficit of almost EUR 536,000 was recorded, with exports accounting for 90.4% of imports in May, the Statistics Office announced on Friday.

Fajon signs tourism and air transport agreements with Brazil

Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon started on Thursday her three-day visit to Brazil where she met her Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira. The pair affirmed the excellent relations between the countries and signed an air transport agreement and a memorandum on cooperation in tourism, the Foreign Ministry said.
