Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) won the Giro dell'Emilia, a one-day classic taking place in and around Bologna in cold and rainy weather on Saturday. This is the first race he won in the rainbow jersey as the reigning road race World Champion.

Head of the coalition Social Democrats (SD) Matjaž Han said after the party leadership held a session behind closed doors to debate current issues on Saturday that the SD was a custodian of the coalition agreement and wished to continue to be one. Six months after he took over as the party head he sees the SD as a consolidated and united party.
