Pirc Musar calls for faster EU accession of W Balkans

President Nataša Pirc Musar stressed at the Brdo-Brijuni Summit on Tuesday that the EU enlargement to the Western Balkans should be sped up. She stressed that Slovenia and Croatia are the most vocal advocates of the the accession of Western Balkan countries.

Top court dismisses opposition's request to review recognition of Palestine

The Constitutional Court has dismissed a request by the two opposition parties to review Slovenia's recognition of Palestine, which the parliament finalised on 4 June. At a session last week, the court decided in a 5:3 vote that it has no jurisdiction to review a decision on the country's recognition of a state.

Pirc Musar attends Brdo-Brijuni Summit

Slovenia's President Nataša Pirc Musar will attend the Brdo-Brijuni Summit in Tivat, Montenegro, on Tuesday. The event will focus on better cooperation among the countries of the Western Balkans and the EU, as well as the youth in the region and sustainable development, the president's office said in a press release.
