Foreign minister still moderately optimistic about UN bid

Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon has told the STA she remains moderately optimistic a month before the vote for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the period 2024-2025, for which Slovenia is vying. She is in New York until tomorrow, meeting ambassadors of regional groups in the UN.

Pirc Musar, Lenarčič praise EU progress on Europe Day

FM promotes Slovenia's UN Security Council bid in New York

Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon campaigned for Slovenia's candidacy for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council at the UN headquarters in New York on Monday. She will continue her campaign on Tuesday and Wednesday, also meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo.
