Road Transport Outperforms Rail Transport Fourfold

Ljubljana, 30 November - Road vehicles transported a total of 74 millions tonnes of cargo and did over 9 billion tonne-kilometres in 2004, while in the same time railroads carried 18 million tonnes for a total of 3.4 billion tonne-kilometres, according to the Statistical Office.
