Ljubljana, 4 December - Schedule of events in the week from from 5 to 11 December:

MONDAY, 5 December
        LJUBLJANA - The 13th OSCE ministerial meeting is to get underway, running through Tuesday.
        LONDON, UK - Parliament Speaker France Cukjati is to kick off a two-day official visit to Great Britain.
        WASHINGTON, US - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to begin a five-day visit to the US during which he will take part in a meeting of the Southeastern European Defence Ministerial (SEDM) and hold talks with US officials.
        LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to hold separate receptions for visiting European Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero Waldner and South Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Ban Ki-Moon.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU transport ministers, including Slovenia's Janez Bozic, are to meet for a regular session.
        LJUBLJANA - Portuguese State Secretary for European Affairs Fernando Reves is scheduled to pay a visit to Slovenia. The 2007-2013 EU spending plan is to top the agenda of his talks with Slovenian counterpart Marcel Koprol.
        PODGORICA, Serbia-Montenegro - Education Minister Milan Zver is to wrap up a two-day visit to Montenegro.
        LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Ethnic Studies is to hold a discussion on the current state of human rights, anti-discrimination efforts and tolerance promotion in the OSCE area.

TUESDAY, 6 December
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to take part in a meeting of EU finance ministers.
        LJUBLJANA - The leader of the Party of European Socialists (PES) Poul Nyrup Rasmussen is to pay a visit to Slovenia. The former Danish prime minister is to take part in a public debate on economic reforms in Slovenia hosted by the leader of the Slovenian Social Democrats (SD) Borut Pahor.
        LJUBLJANA - Turkish Chief of General Staff Hilmi Ozkok is to launch a two-day visit to Slovenia.
        DOBOVA - An international rail border crossing between Slovenia and Croatia is to be inaugurated at a special ceremony.
        LJUBLJANA - The Employment Institute is to present an outlook for labour market trends for next year.
        LJUBLJANA - The organisers of the Animateka festival of animated film (13 through 17 December) are to present the event at a press conference.

WEDNESDAY, 7 December
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - The EU is to hold an emergency ministerial meeting on the 2007-2013 spending plan. State Secretary for European Affairs Marcel Koprol is expected to take part in the meeting on behalf of Slovenia.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to be taking part in a two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers.
        LJUBLJANA - European Commissioner for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Joe Borg is to begin a two-day visit to Slovenia.
        LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to convene for its regular weekly session.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy committee is to be in session.

THURSDAY, 8 December
        LONDON, UK - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to hold talks with British counterpart Tony Blair on the 2007-2013 EU spending plan.
        LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to begin a two-day extraordinary session dedicated to the 2006 and 2007 budget bills.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Labour Minister Janez Drnobnic is to take part in a meeting of EU employment ministers.
        LJUBLJANA - Union Olimpija is to take on Italy's Climamio Bologna in the 6th round of basketball's Euroleague.

FRIDAY, 9 December
        LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to hold a press conference on the first anniversary of his government.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU health ministers, including Slovenia's Andrej Brucan, are scheduled to meet.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to hold a session to debate Slovenia's standpoints for upcoming meetings of EU ministers.
        NOVA GORICA - The 6th Pixxelpoint festival of digital art is to get underway, running through 16 December.

SATURDAY, 10 December
        CELJE - Slovenian handball champions Celje Pivovarna Lasko are to take on Denmark's Kolding in the return leg game of the best of 16 in the Champions League.

SUNDAY, 11 December
        MONTPELLIER, France - Velenje is to play France's Montpellier in the return leg game of the best of 16 in the Champions League.
