Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 10 to 16 December

Ljubljana, 17 December - Slovenia got good news in the form of a deal on the 2007-2013 EU spending plan this week. Despite bleak forecasts in the run-up to the EU summit, the leaders of the bloc managed to hammer out a deal in a marathon session that lasted into the early hours of Saturday. The deal has been welcomed by Slovenian officials. Meanwhile, Slovenia and Croatia resumed their exchange of words over the dispute border this week.
