Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 20 December

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to wrap up its session for December by voting on the appointment of Joze P. Damijan for the post of minister in charge of reforms. Also on the agenda of the day (session commences at 10 AM) is a general debate on the bill on Slovenians abroad. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU agriculture ministers are to discuss the draft directive for measures in case of bird flu. Slovenian Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic is to take part.

LJUBLJANA - The college of deputy group heads is to meet at 9 AM to discuss the appointment of a new head of the parliamentary legal service.

LJUBLJANA - The Consumer Protection Association is to present the first Slovenian publication about the euro intended for consumers; at 11 AM.

RAVNE NA KOROSKEM - Specialty steel producer Metal Ravne, a subsidiary of the Slovenian Steel Group, is to present its results for 2005 and plans for 2006 at a press conference scheduled for 1 PM.
