Papers Examine Sunday Shopping Ban Debate

Ljubljana, 20 December - The debate in parliament on imposing a ban on Sunday shopping makes the headlines of three major Slovenian dailies on Tuesday. According to business daily Finance and Maribor-based paper Vecer, the amendment proposed by the coalition that shops in religious centres be one of the exceptions to the ban is somewhat ironic given that the Roman Catholic Church was one of the loudest in calling for a ban in the first place.
