Sunday Shopping Ban Met with Mixed Response
Ljubljana, 21 December - The changes to the trade act which stipulate that, with some exceptions, shops will be closed on Sundays as of 2006 have been met with a mixed response. Whereas the coalition is defending the law, the opposition has criticised it. Meanwhile, large retail chains and the Shop Workers' Trade Union have spoken out against the law, but for different reasons.
