Ljubljana, 21 December - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 22 December:
LJUBLJANA - The Institute for Strategic Studies is to hold a conference on global events in 2005 at 5 PM, to be attended by FM and OSCE chairman Dimitrij Rupel and the former assistant UN secretary general for political affairs Danilo Tuerk. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - On the eve of Constitution Day, a ceremony is to take place at the Constitutional Court at 1 PM, to be attended by several top Slovenian officials.
LJUBLJANA - The leader of the opposition Social Democrats (SDS) Borut Pahor is to hold news conference at noon to speak about topical issues.
LJUBLJANA - The power producer Holding Slovenske elektrarne (HSE) is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to outline its results and plans.
LJUBLJANA - The Tourism and Catering Association at the Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to discuss the planned structural reforms and the impact of a flat tax rate for the sector; at 10 AM.
LJUBLJANA - At its weekly session, the government is to discuss the 2006 active employment programme. A press conference at 2 PM.
LJUBLJANA - Austrian Ambassador to Slovenia Valentin Inzko is to decorate author Drago Jancar with an Austrian state order for arts and sciences at a ceremony scheduled for 7:30 PM.
KRANJSKA GORA - Men's Ski World Cup comes to Slovenia with a slalom race, with the first run starting at 10:30 AM and the second following at 1:30 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Best athletes of 2005 as chosen by the association of sports reporters are to be conferred the title of "Athlete of the Year" at a special ceremony scheduled for 8 PM. (STA)
KAUNAS, Lithuania - Slovenia's Union Olimpija are to chase their third victory in the basketball Euroleague playing against Zalgiris Kaunas at 7:45 PM in group A. (STA)
