Slovenia Marks 15th Anniversary of Referendum on Independence

Ljubljana, 23 December - Fifteen years to the day, Slovenians overwhelmingly voted for independence in a referendum which is usually referred to as plebiscite. The official results - 95% ballots were in favour - came three days later, with 26 December becoming Independence Day.
