MONDAY, 2 January
        LJUBLJANA - Bank holiday.

TUESDAY, 3 January
        LJUBLJANA - The non-parliamentary Youth Party (SMS) is to stage a panel on corruption in Slovenia and elsewhere.
        LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's leading daily Delo is to name the person of the year.

WEDNESDAY, 4 January
        BRDO PRI KRANJU - A meeting of Slovenian diplomats is to be addressed by Slovenian FM Dimitrij Rupel and Austrian FM Ursula Plassnik. The 12th meeting will last until Thursday.
        LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's leading grocer Mercator is to present its new management board at a press conference.
        LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) is to stage a press conference to outline their expectations in 2006.
        LJUBLJANA - Union Olimpija will seek its third victory in the basketball Euroleague at 7:45 PM against Bamberg.

THURSDAY, 5 January
        BRDO PRI KRANJU - President Janez Drnovsek is expected to speak at the 12th meeting of Slovenian diplomats.
        LJUBLJANA - The parliament's privileges and credentials commission is to draft the proposal on the new programming council of the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija.
        LJUBLJANA - Regular government session.

FRIDAY, 6 January
        LJUBLJANA - The college of deputy group heads is to discuss whether an extraordinary parliamentary session will be staged at 10 January.

SATURDAY, 7 January
        MARIBOR - Best female skiers will compete at the 42th Golden Fox competition. The first leg of the giant slalom will start at 9:30 AM and the second at half past noon.

SUNDAY, 8 January
        MARIBOR - Women's World Cup season will continue with a slalom race at the 42th Golden Fox competition. The first leg is scheduled for 9:30 AM, the second for half past noon.
