Schedule of Events for Tuesday, 10 January

Ljubljana, 9 January - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 10 January:

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to meet for an extraordinary session at noon to appoint new members of the Programming Council of public broadcaster RTV Slovenija, and take a re-vote on changes to the trade act and on the wine act. Both were vetoed by the National Council. Prior to the session, the college of deputy group heads is to meet at 9 AM to set the timetable of the session. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Montenegro FM Miodrag Vlahovic is to pay a working visit to Slovenia, meeting his Slovenian counterpart Dimitrij Rupel at 11 AM. The two ministers are to speak to the press at noon. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The leaders and deputy group heads of coalition parties are to meet to review the implementation of the coalition agreement. The meeting, which will begin at 6 PM, has been called by Prime Minister Janez Jansa.

LJUBLJANA - The director of the government Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD) Janez Sustersic is to comment on the economic situation in Slovenia in 2005 at a press conference scheduled for 11:30 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) is to outline at 10 AM the impact of the restructuring of industry on the employment in the EU as found out by the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions.

LJUBLJANA - The country's leading insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav is to present the results of "dynamic" marketing of its supplementary health insurance subsidiary, Triglav zdravstvena zavarovalnica; at noon.
