Liberal Academy Unhappy with Public Broadcaster Appointments

Ljubljana, 11 January - "The ruling coalition has surpassed all expectations in bad taste and stupidity by manipulating the election of members in the governing body of RTV Slovenija", said Darko Strajn, head of the Liberal Academy, a forum of left-leaning academics, at Wednesday's press conference. Sociologist Joze Vogrinc also criticised the opposition politicians, who by demanding cheaper RTV licence fees will bring about new purges.
