NEW YORK, US - President Janez Drnovsek is to continue his visit to the US, where he is mustering support for his initiative to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the western Sudanese region of Darfur.
LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session. The agenda includes financial measures to optimise the phasing of EU structural funds and amendments to the act on the central population register. A press conference is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary defence committee is to debate the government's decision to send military instructors to Iraq. The session starts at 9 AM.
BREZOVICA - The Slovenian Armed Forces are to unveil a new facility for the management of ammunition. A press conference by Defence Minister Karl Erjavec and Chief-of-Staff, Major General Ladislav Lipic, is scheduled for 1:15 PM.
LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Hungarian parliamentary friendship group with Slovenia is to continue its visit with meetings with a delegation of the commission for ethnic minorities. PORTOROZ - Luka Koper, the operator of Slovenia's lone seaport, is to host a round-table debate on motorways of the sea. Participants will be briefed on EU guidelines in the field and activities of the Slovenian Transport Ministry; at 10 AM.
MARIBOR - The Public Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments is to stage an international conference dubbed Innovative Approaches to the Development of Entrepreneurship. A press conference is scheduled for 11:30 AM.
LJUBLJANa - Olimpija is to take on Strasbourg in the 11th round of the Euroleague, Europe's top basketball tournament; at 8:45 PM.
