UN Messenger of Peace Town Opposes Iraq Deployment

Slovenj Gradec, 19 January - The town of Slovenj Gradec has joined the ranks of opponents of the government decision to send four Slovenian soldiers to Iraq. Slovenj Gradec is the only Slovenian town acting as the UN Messenger of Peace and is committed to introducing a culture of peace into a society marked by war, the town's authorities said on Thursday.
