MONDAY, 23 January
LJUBLJANA - European Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot is to arrive for a two-day working visit at the invitation of Slovenian Transport Minister Janez Bozic.
LJUBLJANA - Local Government and Regional Policy Minister Ivan Zagar is to present Slovenia's drawing of EU cohesion funds in 2005 at a press conference.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU agriculture ministers are to hold a meeting, also attended by Slovenia's Marija Lukacic.
LJUBLJANA - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to stage a press conference to present the findings of an interdepartmental working group on the faulty supervision that led to the recent tragic accident in night club Lipa.
LJUBLJANA - Plecnik's days, commemorating the greatest Slovenian Architect Joze Plecnik, are to begin with the opening of an exhibition on his work.

MARIBOR - The Royal Flemish Philharmonics are to stage a concert in Slovenia's second largest city.

ST. GALLEN, Switzerland - Slovenia is to kick off its campaign to defend silver from last year's European Handball Championships with a match against hosts Switzerland.
