Schedule of Events for Sunday, 29 January

LJUBLJANA/KOPER/NOVA GORICA/NOVO MESTO/PTUJ - Voters in 17 Slovenian localities are to head to the polls to decide in referendums on whether their settlements should become municipalities. A total of 138 polling stations are to be opened, with around 51,000 voters eligible to cast their ballots. The outcome of the referendums is to act as a guide for the government in drafting changes to legislation that would establish new municipalities. However, the results will not be binding for Slovenia's parliament.
