MONDAY, 20 February
LJUBLJANA - The president of the European Parliament Josep Borrell is to begin a two-day official visit in Slovenia. He is to attend a public tribune on the future of the EU and the European constitution.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU agriculture ministers, including Slovenia's Marija Lukacic, are to focus at their session on the avian flu crisis, as the the deadly H5N1 strain of the disease has already reached the EU with the wild birds.
VIENNA, Austria - The EU heads of the European affairs parliamentary committees, including Slovenia's Anton Kokalj, are to discuss preparations for the Conference of Community and European Affairs Committees of Parliaments of the EU, which is to take place in Vienna in May.
PODGORICA, Serbia-Montenegro - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to travel to Montenegro for a two-day visit.
IDRIJA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to hold a working meeting with his Spanish counterpart Christina Narbona Ruiz.
LJUBLJANA - The social partners are to continue talks on the next social agreement, focusing on one of the most controversial issues, the tax policy.
LJUBLJANA - The Economics Ministry is to present its proposal for the 2007-2011 Slovenian tourism development plan. A public discussion on the proposal is also to take place.
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive representatives of the Programming Council of the Forum of Slavic Cultures.
GORIZIA, Italy - The towns of Gorizia on the Slovenian-Italian border is to host a day of Slovenian Culture, where literary works in Italian, Slovenian and Friulian are to presented.
LJUBLJANA - The opening of the exhibition "Visual Addresses" - fine arts exhibitions of the 20th century in Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The Week of French Culture is to get underway.
TUESDAY, 21 February
LJUBLJANA - The Commander of the Macedonian Ground Forces, Major General Atanas Jovcevski, is to begin a three-day visit.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU interior and justice ministers are to convene in Brussels. Slovenia is to be represented by the Interior Ministry's State Secretary Zvonko Zinrajh and Justice Ministry State Secretary Robert Marolt.
NOVA GORICA - The casino and hotel chain Hit is to talk to the press about its results for 2005, as well as its present and future investment projects.
SLOVENSKE KONJICE - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to visit the NE municipality of Slovenske Konjice, where he is to hold a press conference on remedying the consequences of the 2005 summer hail storms.
LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to hold a pubic debate on the guidelines for an act on the Roma community in Slovenia.
KOPER - A round table on relations between Islam and the West to be held.
WEDNESDAY, 22 February
BERLIN, Germany - Katja Rejec Longar of the Government Office for European Affairs is to attend a coordinative meeting of Germany, Portugal and Slovenia, the three countries which are to preside over the EU in 2007 and the first half of 2008, respectively.
PTUJ - The government is to visit the northeastern towns of Ptuj, Slovenska Bistrica, Lenart, Ormoz and Kidricevo as a part of its ongoing tour of all Slovenian statistical regions.
MARIBOR - A two-day security conference on electronic safety 2006 (RiSK) to get underway.
THURSDAY, 23 February
VIENNA, Austria - Health ministers from EU members as well as from accession and candidate countries are to discuss the measures in case of a bird flu epidemic. Health Minister Andrej Brucan to attend.
NAPLES, Italy - The four Slovenian military instructors who are to train Iraqi security forces within the NATO mission are to set off to Iraq from Naples.
LJUBLJANA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to meet his counterparts from Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia, Ramiz Mehmedagic and Muhamed Lisic.
LJUBLJANA - Macedonian Justice Minister Meri Mladenovska is to begin a three-day working visit in Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - A conference on REACH, the new European policy in the field of chemicals, is to take place, with a number of guests from several European countries, representatives of the European Commission, the economic sector and the nongovernmental organisations presenting their standpoints on the issue.
