Ljubljana, 19 February - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 20 February:

LJUBLJANA - The president of the European Parliament Josep Borrell is to begin a two-day official visit to meet Slovenia's top officials. He is to speak to the press together with his host Parliament Speaker France Cukjati at 11:40 AM. (STA/PHOTO).

BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU agriculture ministers, including Slovenia's Marija Lukacic, are to focus at their session on the avian flu crisis, as the the deadly H5N1 strain of the disease has already reached the EU with wild birds. (STA)

VIENNA, Austria - The EU heads of the European affairs parliamentary committees, including Slovenia's Anton Kokalj, are to discuss preparations for the Conference of Community and European Affairs Committees of Parliaments of the EU, due in Vienna in May.

PODGORICA, Serbia-Montenegro - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to travel to Montenegro for a two-day visit.

LJUBLJANA/IDRIJA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to hold a working meeting with his Spanish counterpart Christina Narbona Ruiz. A statement to the press scheduled for 12:30 PM in Idrija.

LJUBLJANA - The social partners (government, trade unions, employers) are to continue talks on the 2006-2009 social agreement, focusing on one of the most controversial issues, a tax policy reform.

LJUBLJANA - The Economics Ministry is to present its proposal for the 2007-2011 Slovenian tourism development plan. A public discussion on the proposal is also to take place. Presentations are scheduled for 11 AM and 4 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to receive representatives of the Programming Council of the Forum of Slavic Cultures; at 7 PM.

GORIZIA, Italy - The city of Gorizia on the Slovenian-Italian border is to host a day of Slovenian Culture. Literary works in Italian, Slovenian and Friulian are to be presented at 8:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The opening of the show "Visual Addresses", featuring exhibitions of fine arts of the 20th century in Slovenia; at 7 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Week of French Culture is to get underway.
