Ljubljana, 20 February - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 21 February:

LJUBLJANA - The President of the European Parliament Josep Borrell is to wrap up a two-day official visit to Slovenia. He is scheduled to meet President Janez Drnovsek (at 12:10 PM) and Prime Minister Janez Jansa at (1 PM) as well as heads of deputy groups and the chairs of the parliamentary foreign policy and EU affairs committees (at 10 AM). SLOVENSKA BISTRICA/SLOVENSKE KONJICE - PM Janez Jansa and several ministers are to pay a number of visits to companies and state institutions in the NE region of Podravje ahead of Wednesday's visit of the cabinet to the region. As part of the visit, Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to stop over in the municipality of Slovenske Konjice, where he is to hold a press conference on remedying the consequences of the 2005 summer hail storms.

LJUBLJANA - The programme council of the Forum for Slavic Cultures - bringing together Slovenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland, Russia, Serbia-Montenegro and Ukraine - is to hold its maiden session behind closed doors. The session is to start at 10 AM, while a press statement scheduled for noon. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - State secretaries at the interior and justice ministries, Zvonko Zinrajh and Robert Marolt, are to take part in a meeting of EU justice and home affairs ministers.

PODGORICA, Serbia-Montenegro - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to wrap up a two-day visit to Montenegro.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary local government and regional policy committee is to resume an emergency session at 2 PM to debate Slovenia's reclassification into two cohesion regions.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - A Slovenian delegation is to take part in a meeting of representatives of parliamentary committees for economic and monetary issues and the European Parliament's committee on economic and monetary affairs on growth in the eurozone.

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Janez Drobnic is to outline the 2006-2016 National Programme for Children and Youth at a press conference scheduled for 1:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) is to hold a press conference at 12:30 PM dedicated to social dialogue on the Sunday opening hours of shops.

NOVA GORICA - The management of gaming chain Hit is to present results for 2005 and plans for this year at a press conference scheduled for 1 PM. (STA)

ZAGREB, Croatia - The head of the Directorate General for Railways at the Transport Ministry Jelka Sinkovec Fundik and the general manager of the Slovenian Railways are to be taking part in a three-day conference on the development of railway infrastructure in SE Europe.

LJUBLJANA - The executive committee of the junior coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to discuss topical issues at its sessoin. A press conference is scheduled for after the session, at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The leader of the opposition Social Democrats (SD) Borut Pahor is to speak about the pact for development and other topical issues at a press conference scheduled for noon.

KOPER - A round table on relations between Islam and the West to be held.
