Mercator Sees Sales Rise, Profits Tumble

Ljubljana, 28 February - The retail group Mercator increased sales 11.2% to SIT 419bn (EUR 1.75bn) in 2005, but net profits slid by 16.5% year-on-year to SIT 5.6bn (EUR 23.4m), missing targets by 8.7%, the company said in Tuesday's press release.
